Lorelei Linklater is a fine and digital artist based in Austin, Texas. Her artistic practice is rooted in traditional painting, cartoon inspired illustrations and animations, ‘GIFs,’ textured collage, feminist influence, and experimental found object sculpture. Her work is informed by her aesthetic divulgence in new media. Her ‘nightmarish’ - yet hauntingly beautiful - digital, kaleidoscopic collages approach and examine the concepts of time and space as inspired by 15th century painter Hieronymus Bosch. Lorelei’s ability to work in and move between traditional and digital artistic mediums and styles, showcase her skill in working in multiple realities: making her the artist of the past, present and future.
